WorldQuant University Granted Accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission

We’re excited to share that WorldQuant University (WQU) has been granted accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a national accrediting body formally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

We are especially excited that this news comes on the heels of the graduation of our 600th MScFE student, a major milestone in our quest to make advanced, quality education accessible to capable students everywhere by leveraging technology at scale to deliver entirely free online programs.

Since our founding in 2015, we’ve enrolled thousands of students from more than 100 countries around the world. We’re proud of our diverse student body spread across the globe, each contributing their own unique life experiences and perspectives to the WorldQuant University community. Each of our graduates has persisted and persevered in the face of countless challenges to earn their degree, and we are so proud of each and everyone one of them. Our student’s tireless dedication, feedback, and ongoing commitment is what’s gotten us to this point.

More than 50% of our students are over the age of 30, and upwards of 40% already have a graduate degree before starting our MScFE Program — an exciting sign that learners are using our MScFE Program as a launch pad for their careers as well as an opportunity to upskill and advance or change their field.

As part of the accreditation process, we were evaluated in areas that include academic quality, curriculum requirements, faculty, student services, ethical business practice, academic support services, learning and research resources, administrative capacity, and financial capacity.

Becoming accredited is a formal recognition that our university has been vetted for quality and consistency. Accreditation also means that we can offer our programs to more students across the globe, including within the United States. With accreditation, our MScFE graduates will also be able to more readily transfer their credits from WorldQuant University, and matriculate into other advanced offerings, such as Ph.D. programs.

We know many students are waiting for WQU to become available in their communities in the United States, so we wanted to let you know that we are actively working through a process that will authorize us to serve students in all 50 states. To keep up to date with WorldQuant University news and developments, we encourage you to visit our website regularly and to follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook.
