WQU CEO Daphne Kis Discusses the Future of Online Education and Credentialing at the World Economic Forum’s Virtual Jobs Reset Summit
Last week WorldQuant CEO Daphne Kis joined a panel of visionary business and education leaders to discuss the future of online education at the World Economic Forum’s Virtual Jobs Reset Summit 2020. With the COVID-19 pandemic delivering a combination of health and economic shocks to the world, the four-day summit, held October 20-23, brought together a diverse group of leaders to help shape and mobilize a new agenda for growth, jobs, skills, and equity.
As a member of the World Economic Forum’s Skills Consortium, Daphne has been working with the community of online learning providers to develop a recognized skills taxonomy towards the goal of providing better jobs, education, and skills to one billion people in the next 10 years. Building on this work, the speakers on the panel explored the future challenges and opportunities of online education and developing credible and globally recognized pathways to employment in a shifting job market.
Daphne was joined by Teresa Carlson, Vice-President, Worldwide Public Sector, Amazon Web Services; Gabriel Dalporto, Chief Executive Officer, Udacity; Amy Regan Morehouse, Senior Vice-President, Trailhead, Salesforce; Ravi Kumar S., President, Infosys Ltd; Kate Bravery, Global Practices Leader, Mercer (MMC).
